What makes a clip read as retrowave
Retrowave is a mood before it is a style: warm dusk on one side of the frame, cold violet shadow on the other, and everything a little soft, as if it came off a late-night broadcast. - A sun placed in front of the face. It washes out the features; put it behind.
- Fast scanline flicker. It can make a face less stable; say “slow” or “faint”.
- A busy street instead of an open horizon. The genre needs room for the grid.
- Dark outfits with no reflective detail. Add one chrome or silver piece to catch the light.
